"At Beth Jacob, we strive to create a caring, compassionate community infused with Torah, Tefillah, Chesed and Zionism, in which members experience connection, growth and a sense of belonging." - Rabbi Topp

Situated in the heart of the Los Angeles-Beverly Hills Jewish community, Beth Jacob Congregation is a Modern Orthodox Shul that provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for Jews of all backgrounds to learn, pray, celebrate, and grow together. Our congregation's warmth emanates from our love and respect for all people, and shared devotion to Torah and the Jewish people.

Beth Jacob is the largest Modern Orthodox synagogue west of the Mississippi. As a bustling center of Jewish life, we’re blessed to offer world class programming, consisting of a wide range of spiritual, educational, social, and cultural opportunities for all ages and interests. Our robust adult education program is led by our inspiring clergy, community scholars and thought leaders from around the globe. Through our chesed programs and volunteer committees, we offer many ways to get involved and help others in the community and beyond. And of course, whether it is Shabbat or during the week, we offer diverse minyan options for our diverse constituent groups, within the framework of halacha.

The essence that makes our community truly shine is the vibrance of our members and the friendships that we share. We’re proud that our congregants serve as role models through their fine character, good deeds, and engagement with society; each adds their unique story to our beautiful Beth Jacob tapestry.

Thinking about our commitment to the broader community, Beth Jacob has played a pioneering role in the development of Jewish life in Southern California. We are dedicated to creating a caring compassionate congregation- infused with learning, prayer, acts of kindness and active support of Israel- in which members can find connection, growth, inspiration and a sense of belonging.

Walk through the halls and rooms of Beth Jacob, and you will see the smiles and feel the warmth, generated by the power of community.

Now, as always, Beth Jacob Congregation is your home.
