Rabbi Kalman Topp
Rabbi Kalman Topp is the Senior Rabbi at Beth Jacob Congregation in Beverly Hills, serving in this position since 2009. During his tenure, he has strengthened Beth Jacob as a leading center of Modern Orthodoxy and Religious Zionism, where members connect, grow and create lifelong friendships. Serving a large, diverse membership, Rabbi Topp has promoted a warm and inclusive atmosphere where all can find their place in the community.
Prior to moving to the west coast, Rabbi Topp served as Associate Rabbi at the Young Israel of Woodmere, NY and Rabbi at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was also on the Judaic Studies faculty at the Frisch School and Hebrew Academy of Five Towns and Rockaways.
After studying in Israel at Yeshivat Har Etzion, Rabbi Topp graduated from Sy Syms School of Business with a degree in accounting. He received his ordination from Yeshiva University-RIETS and earned a master’s degree in secondary education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education.
Rabbi Topp is active in the communal sphere, currently serving on the National Council of AIPAC, Executive Committee of the Southern California Board of Rabbis, and the Advisory Board for the Israel-Christian Nexus. Combining a steadfast love of the Jewish People with a passion for teaching Torah, Rabbi Topp endeavors to connect with people of all ages within the congregation and from the broader community.
